WAITING FOR GATEAU

Theatre with Thespians

Although we are now retired from our theatrical forays, we continue our love for the arts by exploring Sydney's cultural scene. Together we brave works from Shakespeare to Shaw, always with an open mind and a cocktail in hand.

A formidable duo (if we do say so ourselves), we ruminate upon all aspects of these productions - from method to madness! With a highly similar opinion on these matters, we often find ourselves giving each other the same sideways glances, knowing that we are having the same thought (which makes discussions a bit less controversial, but far more agreeable) and whilst she does not co-author these pieces, many of the trains of thought chug along from our joint mental path!

Yet, sometimes I am left to fend for myself without my Lady M, finding new victims to bring into the fold. Nevertheless, always armed with a suitably fabulous companion, I search for the very best of Sydney's shows. With two parts to this review section, you can find the very best of 2015 in A Year In Review and search the best outings you can join in on this year with A Year of Debut

So, get set for a hot spoonful of my opinion, for -

'Nothing is either good or bad, but thinking makes it so'

-Hamlet, Hamlet

'I would not wish any companion in the world but you'

                                        Miranda, The Tempest

Ever since we played opposite each other as Lady and Macbeth (yes, one of my many male performances), I have had a life-long theatre lover by my side.
