Started in 2016, Waiting For Gateau is the brainchild of Sydney born Christina Blanco. With a passion for food and culture, this blog reviews the things she loves most about her hometown. From restaurants to all types of shows, Christina loves to spend a night painting the town red ... and then write about it! 

 

As a former thespian herself, her love of theatre began at Pymble Ladies' College where she acted such manly characters as Gaev in Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard, Henry in Austen's Northanger Abbey and the eponymous Macbeth. 

 

On the other hand, her love of fine food did not require her to adorn any false facial hair and came from trial and error, realising that her favourite evenings are spent in the company of her closest friends, with excellent food and even better conversation.

 

Searching for the perfect evening within these two worlds, Christina may always be waiting...
